Articipation Creative For All - ACFA Project aims to Improve illustration skills for young women in Fashion Industry, raise awareness and inclusiveness for persons with disability, and build confidence to empower and expose Youth In photography and photo Journalism. The project aims to improve three deeply under-developed sectors in The Gambia's creative industry this project will develop Fashion Art, involve persons with disability and attract photojournalists and photo Artists to participate and expose the works described below.
A call to train 40 youths within 3 months, a fashion illustration master class for young women in the fashion industry, who lack the financial means to acquire professional Fashion illustration skills or a fashion design course. Participants will be allowed to develop skills, in body proportions, fashion sketches, technical flat drawings and fully rendered fashion figures.
To encourage persons with disability to participate in a mural project, together with the help of professional artists to draw and paint murals on a 100-meter wall. To promote awareness about disability not being in ability. Young and rising photographers and photojournalists will be invited to capture the two main activities mentioned above, the fashion illustration training and the mural painting activities by persons with disability to be exposed in a photo exhibition to mark the end of the project.
